Brentwood Builders was founded in 1994 by husband-and-wife team Tyke and Judith Johnson and has been designing and building luxury custom homes across Middle Tennessee ever since.
Tyke Johnson began his career as a framer’s helper in high school and worked his way up to lead framer, gaining hands-on experience in every phase of homebuilding. While earning his BBA, he also worked in commercial trim carpentry and construction supply, specializing in flooring, tools, and plumbing. Today, as co-founder of Brentwood Builders, Tyke remains on-site daily, ensuring each detail meets his exacting standards—bringing expertise, precision, and integrity to every custom home project.
Judith Johnson, a former CPA and BellSouth executive, brings deep financial expertise and leadership to Brentwood Builders. While at BellSouth Telecommunications, she managed the West Tennessee region, overseeing multi-million dollar projects and leading large teams to successful outcomes. Today, Judith pairs her business acumen with her talent as one of Middle Tennessee’s leading interior designers, helping homeowners make selections that are both beautiful and in budget.
