In addition to forming the perfect union in life, husband-and-wife homebuilding team Judith and Tyke Johnson united to form Brentwood Builders, a construction company that draws from the talents, knowledge and expertise of both owners. Tyke, a Chattanooga native, and Judith, a Clarksville native, have lived in Brentwood since 1989 and they have built homes ranging in size from 3,000 square feet to over 30,000. Regardless of your style – from Mediterranean to Rustic Log, Old World European to Contemporary – Tyke and Judith can help you build your dream. 

Tyke is definitely a “hands-on” builder. He started as a framers’ helper when he was a teenager and moved his way up to lead framer. While obtaining his BBA Degree, he worked as a commercial trim carpenter. After graduating, he worked in various construction supply fields such as flooring, construction tools, and plumbing valves and fittings. Now, as the owner of his own company, he gets involved with every aspect of a construction project. He is a work boots and blue jeans builder – you will see him on your job in the thick of things, making sure it’s done right. 

Judith was a CPA at the beginning of her career, so she will work with you to monitor your budget every month. In addition, Judith has become one of the top building designers in the area and will help you with all your design selections – from cabinet finishes and layout to flooring choices to lighting plans and fixtures. She will be there with you to guide and help you during all those decision processes and she can help you stay in your budget at the same time. That is a truly unique combination. 

Tyke and Judith are immersed in the progression of each project and one of them can be found working on your job daily. They oversee progress in each phase of construction, making sure everything is completed according to their high standard. In addition, Tyke and Judith have handpicked a veteran team of master craftsmen, sub-contractors, vendors, and service providers that share Brentwood Builders’ commitment to excellence in project and performance.
